A group of Republican senators has introduced a bill to the US Congress that would oblige app stores to exclude the use of the digital yuan (e-CNY), as well as any apps with such functionality.

The Law to Protect Americans from Authoritarian Digital Currencies was developed by Tom Cotton, Mike Brown and Marco Rubio. The initiative aims to create barriers to "direct control" and surveillance of the financial activities of US citizens.

The term "app store" includes all "publicly available websites, software or other electronic services that distribute applications to users of computers and mobile devices."

The developers have postponed the launch of Terra 2.0 mainnet to Saturday, May 28, at approximately 09:00. The genesis block of the new network will release “a qualified majority of interconnected validators running simultaneously.”

The project team noted that the Terra Station portal, the Terra Finder browser and the Terra Observer decentralized application hub will support the new network after its launch.

Terraform Labs also stated that many dapps from the Terra Classic blockchain are migrating to Terra 2.0. The order and timing of their launch depends on a number of factors, including the speed of the command.

The company emphasized that the new LUNA token will be listed on “many leading exchanges.” Earlier, Binance, Huobi, Bybit, Gate.io and a number of other platforms announced their readiness to add cryptocurrency to the listing.
